Training Manager for a successful Restaurant Group – East Africa
A well respected and an award winning Restaurant Group in East Africa seeks a well-qualified and capable Training Manager for their “ family style” restaurant chain.
To qualify for this role, the Training Manager must have minimum of 8 years of experience, with three years of internal consultation and corporate training experience working with senior managers, utilizing the skills and knowledge to improve work groups, teams, and organizations. Solid experience in a complex multi-site Restaurant group is preferred.
Your responsibilities as a Training Manager will include creating and implementing staff development programs that support the organization’ s succession planning objectives and foster a highly effective management and leadership structure. You must provide a range of services to the senior management on the development and implementation of key strategies and training for creating and sustaining a high performing organization. Work collaboratively at senior and restaurant levels to ensure business planning, performance monitoring and performance management processes, inform and support each other and lead to continuous improvement of the company’ s performance.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate training programs that support the objectives and are aligned with the organization’ s business plan.
Provide coaching, facilitation, team development, whole systems analysis, process reengineering in consultation with executive leaders and senior managers to implement improvement initiatives.
Lead, coordinate and is responsible for the successful openings of new restaurants in a variety of markets in alignment with the Company’ s growth plans.
In order to support the restaurants’ succession plan, you must develop and implement manager and staff development programs.
Qualification / Skills:
Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources Management.
Organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration or related field. ·
Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems theory and quality improvement processes.
Principles of customer service, advanced consulting methods, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, group process facilitation, and communications processes.
Presentation skills and project management.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
