Top Elite Catering Company seeks Sous Chef
A well established and reputable Catering Company in Washington, DC is looking to hire a Sous Chef to plan, direct and supervise the food preparation for its off premise catering, events, corporate and private food delivery orders. The Sous Chef reports to the Executive Chef and will also assist as needed for menu and recipe development, staff training, performance reviews, maintaining accurate records, production and staffing schedules, food cost controls and adhering to sanitation standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
minimum 2 to 3 years as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in high quantity and quality venues including elite caterers, catering facilities, private clubs, hotels and resorts with banquet operations;
Culinary degree from an accredited institution, equivalent work experience or be a Certified Chef de Cuisine;
Experience in food production for banquet or catered events up to 1, 500 guests;
Ability to read, write and speak English, proficiently use Microsoft office suite and learn operations management systems.
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
