Marketing Manager needed for a Fantastic Toronto Venue

We currently have a fantastic opportunity in Toronto for a Marketing Manager of a fantastic event venue.  In this role, you will report directly  to, and work with closely with,  the Owner, Operations Manager and Sales Manager in implementing and driving the on-going Marketing strategy  for this busy city-centre event space.

You will be responsible for establishing, implementing and executing the strategic marketing efforts to ensure the successful positioning  of the  venue and continually achieving annual revenue and booking goals. You will be a key part in growing business share and ensuring the establishment maintains its excellent reputation throughout the city.

The successful candidate will be well connected and known to key business partners and have a strong presence within the events/functions segment, preferably with extensive marketing experience in Toronto.  You will be responsible for taking the lead and managing the marketing and PR efforts, initiating strategic promotions and initiatives to drive business and monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of your strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Create and Implement marketing strategies and processes to grow venue revenues
  • Build  and  manage  marketing  channels through all campaigns, including digital  and creative  sales  collateral
  • Implement the brand’ s service strategy  and  applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the  operations 
  • Focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of objectives
  • Develop  and  implement  marketing  strategies that deliver products  and  services to meet or exceed the needs  and  expectations of the brand’ s target customer
  • Suggest innovative  marketing  ideas  and  develop deployment strategies to continue to grow market share
  • Create, maintain  and  strengthen Company’ s overall brand in all forms of media
  • Determine  and  develop  marketing  communication activities and write external communications
  • Identify public relations opportunities  and  coordinate activities to augment the overall  marketing  strategy
  • Oversee all social media posts – to ensure proper image portrayal to the public
  • Develop editorial content for all social media channels
  • Post creative website content with pictures & video for all venue’ s functions & events
  • Lead  and  oversee short  and  long-term projects, promotional materials, ensuring all artwork  and  items are on brand  and  delivered on time
  • Conduct market research to identify effective promotional methods  and  negotiate media contracts

 

Required Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in  Marketing, Business or Hospitality
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in the industry
  • Highly developed written  and  verbal communication skills to effectively position the brand/venue
  • Excellent project management  and  organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable work load, ensuring timely  and  accurate completion
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Poise, presence,  and  the ability to represent the brand in all manner of media
  • Proficiency in Event Management Software  and  all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint  and  Outlook
