ELITE CATERING COMPANY in WASHINGTON, DC REQUIRES DIRECTOR OF SALES

Well established Washington based Catering Company with elite and corporate clientele seeks a  Director of Sales.  He/she will be responsible for developing key growth sales strategies and implementing action plans. Working directly with the CEO, the Director of Sales will establish corporate and sales team revenue targets. He/she will also direct, train and manage the sales team, oversee all sales activities, analyze data and compare performance objectives to end result.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and exceed annual sales targets

  • Assist in developing and executing sales plans and strategies in order to meet sales expectations and corporate goals

  • Proactively solicit and procure new accounts while growing, servicing and maintaining existing clientele

  • Establish and maintain communications with key strategic clients and provide support as needed

  • Effectively communicate value proposition of the company through proposals and presentations

  • Maintain understanding of current competitive forces and industry trends

  • Develop and participate in sales training and process improvement forums

  • Adhere to and enforce sales processes and protocols to ensure consistency

  • Supervise and evaluate contracted events

  • Maintain consistent reporting of sales and marketing activities

  • Coordinate sales related activities with all department managers

  •   Assist in directing social media strategies and implementation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven sales executive experience in meeting or exceeding targets

  • At least 5 years’ previous experience as sales manager

  • Excellent communication skills

  • College or University graduate preferably in a hospitality/business marketing program

  • Previous experience in catering, restaurant, event planning,   and hospitality industry a must

  • Knowledge of menu development and event planning for corporate drop-off, social and special events

Salary  is up to US$75, 000 (negotiable based on experience) + bonus package up to US$20, 000. Medical benefit package is provided.
