Our client in Toronto which operates a major branded hotel property, is seeking an outstanding Director of Revenue Management for their company. The successful candidate will work with all hotel management departments in determining strategic goals and tactical efforts, which drives revenue to the property. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that inventory allocation and pricing parameters that are positioned to support the overall revenue goals of the hotel.

This role serves as the objective decision maker that ensures the best interest of profitability is served in the overall hotel as well as ensuring the integrity of rates and long-term customer investment. The qualified candidate will provide pertinent, detailed & accurate reports to management geographic and market segments, competitor reports, accurate tracking and customer performance report.

Requirements:
  • Develops and manages hotel pricing strategies by defining and management of rate level and rate level conditions relative to demand factors;
  • Ongoing analysis of changing distribution channel models and the impact on consumer booking trends to aid in more accurate forecasting.
  • Develops " well researched" rate offers for specific distribution channels as required; Monitors all market segment booking pace patterns and reacts accordingly by controlling reservation distribution sources to maximize revenue - discusses changes and ensure quick and efficient implementation of changes;
  • Monitors all branded channels and maximize opportunities from the brand.
  • Maintains current knowledge of all brand revenue - related programs;
  • Develops fundamentals and provide guidelines mechanisms for catering events/ function space and all other revenue streams at the hotel;
  • Completes rolling hotel forecasting at least weekly;
  • Self-study and independent work ethics are required.
  • Analyze trends to be able to set daily, short term and long term goals for occupancy and average rates.
  • Identify branded packaging opportunities in periods of high and low demand.
  • Production of status report, highlighting the high and low seasons, weekly, monthly or yearly forecast and adjusting rates accordingly.
  • Solid and proven experience in revenue management in a first class resort or hotel property
  • Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action
  • Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems, PCs and office products, e.g. Excel, Word.
  • Self-study and independent work ethics are required.
  • Strong analytical skills and can think outside of the box
  • Proven experience in analysis and problem solving required
  • Team building skills and proven track record is essential
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints is key to the success of this individual
  • Minimum of3 to   5 years related experience in managing a revenue management role in a good sized hotel property.
  • In conjunction with sales team, determine rate philosophy and structure, drive business based on yield management but yet flexible during need period

Remuneration:  Starting salary of $75, 000 with an incentive bonus based on company goals and achievements. Excellent company benefit package will also be offered
