Our client is a well renowned and major hospitality facility in Toronto with first class banqueting facilities require  an experienced Director of Banquet Services to join their food and beverage team. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure excellent service delivery of all Food and Beverage events leading to complete guest satisfaction whereby guaranteeing repeat business. You must be a champion when it comes to excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills, a proven team leader who displays initiative, attention to detail and customer service is required. You will monitor and supervise the daily routines of the Banquet Department to ensure smooth effective and efficient daily work practices and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures to ensure total guest satisfaction.

We are seeking an individual who can create a courteous, friendly, professional work environment, someone who clearly demonstrated during their career the ability to work in a team environment, can prioritize workloads and can meet deadlines and the company’ s objectives throughout the year.

Director of Banquet Services responsibilities include monitoring and or overseeing the supervision of large catering and banqueting facilities, maintaining a balance between floor supervision, administration, employee training and mentoring. The successful individual should have a sound knowledge in managing employee relations within a unionized collective agreement environment as this is very important and crucial.

The individual should have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive senior banquet management experience within depth knowledge of food & beverage. He/She should be able to exceed the guest’ s expectations by coordinating the service flow appropriate to a high caliber catering/dining experience in an extremely high paced and high volume environment. The preferred candidate should have successfully completed a Community College Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism and/or Food and Beverage Management and strong knowledge of computers would be a definite asset.
