Catering Manager sought for a Global Luxury Hotel in the Middle East

One of the world’ s leading Hotel Groups is seeking a Catering Manager to join the Banquet and Catering team of their leading Ultra-luxury Hotel property. The Catering Manager will help establish a strong reputation in the region for unparalleled service and quality and will be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the clients’ Catering needs in accordance with company guidelines, brand standards and guest expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • The Catering Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating all requirements for all events bookings including meetings, weddings and outside catering
  • Responsible for enforcing the terms of sales letter of agreement and guiding the client through the planning process
  • Communicates the needs and expectations of the client with all departments in the hotel
  • Pro-actively developing the catering business
  • Proven track record of sales achievements through prospecting and solicitation
  • Ability to negotiate with clients at all levels through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals to achieve maximum revenue/profit potential whilst ensuring client satisfaction
  • Identify customer needs and all sales opportunities to ensure on-going successful events
  • Lead a team that takes responsibility for the co-ordination and monitoring of all meetings, from initial booking where possible through to post-conference evaluation
  • Conduct pre – and post event briefings and communicate relevant information of the specific events to all Departments concerned to minimize shortfalls, if any
  • Provide regular and constructive coaching, training, and mentoring to employees
  • Provide a motivating and productive work environment to your teams

Expectations & Requirements
  • Female Candidates are encouraged to apply
  • English fluency is required. Arabic fluency is a strong advantage
  • Single Status is preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a Management role in Banqueting and Catering
  • Minimum three years’ experience with a luxury or ultra-luxury property
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast paced client driven environment.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity, manage time well, and be highly visible in all areas of responsibility
  • Impeccable appearance and a passion for delivering excellent service
  • Knowledge of Delphi and Opera Systems would be beneficial
  • Role requires ability to work flexible hours including evenings and most weekends

Salary & Benefits
  • Base Salary of $2, 250 USD/month
