Our client that is an award winning and innovative social enterprise catering company operating in Vancouver is urgently seeking the talents of an experienced Catering Chef who is self-motivated and is a team player to take charge of this busy catering operation.
The candidate preferred must have current experience and know how to manage a catering kitchen operation with many drop and go clients that they cater to. Able to work and supervise a small kitchen team, should have sound managerial experience and be able to produce quality food production.
As Chef, together with the current kitchen management team, you will help lead their food operations in the exceptional delivery of corporate catering and public assisted meal programs. You will mix a love of food and creativity with sound kitchen management and mentoring skills and on the job Training.
Proven experience with kitchen management and systems fundamentals, Food Safety, Food Costing, Receiving, Inventory and Purchasing. Along with solid computer skills including proficiency with Email, Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel.
If you are an experienced chef and able to run a busy catering operation, hands on management style and communicate efficiently with your staff. Can produce top quality food product, maintain and develop the high standards, then you are one we are looking for.
This position will offer a fair base salary of $55, 000 to a max of $60, 000 with a token bonus with excellent working conditions from Tuesday to Saturday in this very well-known and respected catering company in the community.
